Jazz by the Bay Festival

2021 Event Update from Jazz by the Bay

Jazz by The Bay Festival (Inc) developed from humble beginnings some nine years ago to become the fourth largest regional jazz festival in Australia. During that time, it has attracted a significant local and national audience. It has enabled many of our local performers to showcase their talents to a wider audience and attracted the engagement of national and international artists who relished the opportunity to perform in such an idyllic environment.

Unfortunately, the 2020 Festival was not able to proceed due to Australian Government and health authorities' advice.

Recent developments have seen our co-founder and creative director, Cindy Wiese make the tough decision to move on from the festival, relocating to Perth. The board recognises Cindy's drive, skilled curation and devotion to the festival has been a key contributor to our success.

This change, coupled with the myriad of ongoing developments we face in these uncertain times, has weighed heavily on the members of the board. Taking all of the present factors into account, it is with extreme regret that we advise that the Board has determined to fold the Jazz by the Bay Festival.

We are extremely grateful for the loyal support of our audience.

We ask that you please continue to support the Arts, go check out that band, dance when you can and stay safe until we next meet.

We acknowledge and thank our major sponsors; City of Busselton, Tourism WA and Lotterywest, and thank the many local businesses, musicians and community members that contributed to the success of the festival.

Cindy will continue to promote Jazz from Perth and support the Music Industry with opportunities and events. If you would like to be 'kept in the loop' please click this link to subscribe.

Thank you for your understanding.
